Welcome to lod.ashtonmason.net. This site is about my research into Level of Detail (LOD) at the University of Cape Town, for my PhD. Level of detail refers to the automatic control of detail levels in realtime applications, for example computer games.

In time I hope to grow this site into something more substantial. For now, it's a place to host PDFs of my two published papers (or more accurately, technical reports with similar content).
